1×1 for India is a small Swiss aid organisation in India
“1×1 for India” has been operating since June 1996 and is a small, tax-exempt association whose aim is to provide humanitarian aid in a number of villages in southern India.
“1×1 for India” supports school children and their families by covering the costs for school, clothing, medical help, etc., thus enabling them to attend school.
“1×1 for India” also helps disabled children and covers the costs of doctors, hospital and aids.
“1×1 for India” has created a sewing school where interested women and girls are introduced to the basic skills of tailoring, sewing, knitting, embroidery etc.
“1×1 for India” will try to help in the villages wherever this is not possible with their own means because of the poverty of the population.
