cpi Crypto Payment is an operator of Bitcoin ATM and holds a German BaFin licence.
Bitcoin can be bought with cash at the Bitcoin ATM. With the first purchase, the mobile phone number must be provided for verification.
With the first purchase, Bitcoin can be purchased up to a maximum of €500,- without a further legitimation check.
For a higher amount or further purchases in the future, a legitimacy check must be carried out beforehand. Once this legitimacy check has been completed, an app (cpi App) is used to identify yourself to the Bitcoin ATM.
The Bitcoin ATM checks the authorisation, after which Bitcoin can be purchased with cash at the Bitcoin machine.

Crypto currencies: Currently Bitcoin (BTC), soon Dash and Litecoin
Buy/Sell: All machines support the purchase of crypto currencies. The sale of Bitcoin is not supported
Bitcoin Transfer: With the cpi Wallet you scan the QR Code at the machine. This tells the Bitcoin ATM its own Bitcoin address. The Bitcoin are sent to this address.
Limits: Initial purchase up to max. €500,-. Minimum amount or increased limits after complete legitimation check are not known.
Fiat currencies: The purchase of Bitcoin is possible by Euro.
Fee: 5% of the purchase amount.
Identity check: Use of the cpi Wallet (Android & iOS) with registration of cell phone number and email address. Then can be bought with the first purchase to €500, – Bitcoin. For each further purchase and higher amounts a complete legitimation check is required. The full legitimacy check will probably be done by video identity check.

To use the cpi Bitcoin ATMs (Cryptomat), the cpi Wallet (Android, iOS) must first be installed and configured on the smartphone. When registering the cpi Wallet, your own mobile number and email address must be provided. You define your own password and two additional security questions. Since it is a self-custodial wallet, you can write down your own seed (24 words) and thus have full control over your Bitcoin at all times.
This cpi Wallet is required at the cpi Bitcoin ATM in order to make a verified Bitcoin purchase. A purchase of Bitcoin without this cpi Bitcoin Wallet is not possible.
